Donations to the Kiwanis Autism Project has surpassed $230,000 , which will allow more than 480 children on the autism spectrum to receive an iPad, protective case and iTunes gift cards! Woot woot!
The La Crosse Kiwanis Club teamed up
with the La Crosse Area Autism Foundation during Autism Awareness month in April. Together they sold lanterns to help raise $8,800 which paid for 21 iPads for students on the Autism Spectrum.
Over 300 lanterns helped bring awareness to autism as they lit the sky blue.
American Family Insurance recently notified Governor Lynn Messer that the Kiwanis Autism Project will receive a $10,000 contribution to be used in Wisconsin. "It's great to see that the Kiwanis Autism Project is underway and the response has been so positive. I was also impressed by how much the local Kiwanis clubs are raising. The cause is clearly resonating with a lot of people," says Community Relations Manager Judy K. Lowell. Thank you, American Family Insurance, for your extreme generosity!
